Black Locust Farm Goats for Sale 2007
News flash: Hjort, our 5-year old buck, just won best combed
fleece in show in the 2007 ECA Richmond VA competition in a field of
102 entries. In 2004 he was champion buck at the Rhinebeck NY ECA
show.

1 1/2 year olds

- all black. Sire BLF Hjort. Dam BLF

- Hippolytus
- silver-grey with long layered guard hair. Sire:
STC Will. Dam BLF Hippolyta.
- Nishak
- all black. Sire STC Will. Dam: BLF Nasrim. Both
parents are silver-grey.
2 year olds
- Shiraz
- Black with brown fringes and fairly long
guardhair. Very pretty. Sire BLF Vatani. Dam BLF Lieselotte.
3 year olds
- Leif
- Black, fairly long guardhair. Sire BPC Hermes (blue
ribbons). Dam BLF Lieselotte.
- Prince Edward
- black with brown fringes and blue eyes. Sire:
BLF Lars (see description below). Dam: BLF Esclarmonde.
4 year olds
- Captain Crunch
- Silver grey, very handsome, good temperment,
good production of cashmere but not quite as fine a diameter as the
others. Sire BLF Pollux (Best Fleece in show long ago). Dam BLF
Ceres.
5 year old

- Brown, fairly long guardhair. Sire RDT Rayvon. Dam
BLF Penthesilia.

2007 Doelings for sale

- is a newcomer to the herd, sire unknown at present, dam
BLF Jessica. She is salt-and-pepper like her mother, a daughter of Sgt
Pepper.

fringes and badger stripes like their mother, not very big but healthy
and active.

girls is left. Buffy is a big brown handsome doe, new to the herd.

or Ellen) has goats from our stock, and they are
willing to part with the following does:
- Hazel
- 2 year old black doe. Very good style, fine fiber, good
length. Sire: BLF Pollux; dam: SFC Lula. (SOLD)
- Snowflake
- 4 year old white doe. Good style, medium diameter fiber
(very good for her age), adequate length. Sire: BLF Sgt. Pepper; dam:
unknown at this stage. She has an issue with her udder in that one
half is big and needs to be milked.
- Hickory
- 2 year old black. Good style, medium diameter long
fiber. Sire: BLF Pollux; dam: SFC Lula.
- Clover Silver
- grey 2 year old. Fiber is long, medium diameter,
marginal style (she is fat, which influences style negatively). Sire:
BLF Pollux; dam: SFC Daisy.
- Leah
- 2 year old silver grey. Fine fiber, good style and length. Sire:
BLF Pollux; dam: SFC Snowflake.
- Nova
- 2 year old black. Fine fiber, good style and length. Sire: BLF
